While many service providers follow common practices, Kraken Automotive takes a unique approach. We're willing to credit a portion of our mobile service fee if you choose to move forward with the repair. In cases where you decide not to proceed with the repair, your only obligation will be the nominal service fee, which covers our time and the basic diagnostics visit.
Due to our commercial insurance and liability coverage, we will not usually install customer supplied parts.It posses a potential liability risk for us, however there may be instances we do allow them (ex. hard to find, custom made etc). Any parts you purchase and we do approve to install, will have no warranty provided by us in the event of part failure. You will be required to pay the labor costs all over again to remove and reinstall the new part. In addition it will be your responsibility to get the part replaced under warranty wherever you purchased it.
However, when you choose Kraken Automotive to supply the parts, we offer a different level of service. We guarantee both the part and the labor for a minimum of 2 years. We handle any warranty claims, including the installation and reinstallation of the part, minimizing any inconvenience for you and shifting the burden to us.
